Library Closing

   The library will be closed from Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18 for a new carpet installation to both floors.  We should be operational by Friday, October 19.  The closing necessitates rearranging our listing of programs.  The changes are as follows:

  Monday, October 15Wee Ones, Storytime canceled on Monday, October 15th and the 29th.  You are welcome to attend the Tales for Two’s on Tuesday, Oct. 30th.  Come dressed in costumes for Halloween.

   StorycraftersStorytime canceled on Monday, October 15th.

   Puppet Players—Rescheduled from Monday, October 15 to Friday, November 2nd, 4:30-5:15 pm.

   Tuesday, October 16—Tales for Twos, Storytime canceled on Tuesday, October 16th.

   ANTS—Changed from Tuesday, October 16th to Tuesday, October 30th at 1-1:45 pm.

   Wednesday, October 17—ANTS—Changed from Wednesday, October 17th to Monday, October 29th at 10:15-11 am.

   More Stories Please—Changed from Wednesday, October 17th to Wednesday, November 7th at 1:30-2 pm.

   Teen Council—Changed from Wednesday, October 17th to Monday, October 22nd from 4-5 pm.

   Page Turners—Changed from Wednesday, October 17th to Wednesday, October 24th at 6:45-7:45 pm.

   Thursday, October 18—Drop-in Storytime--Canceled

   Friday, October 19—The library should be open but the following programs are rescheduled:

   Puppet Players on Friday, October 19th has been changed to Friday, October 26th at 4:30-5:15 pm.

   Make a Mini Photo/Scrapbook Album, changed from Friday, October 19th to Friday, November 9th at 6:30-7:30 pm.

   All other programs will follow their regular schedule.

Upcoming Programs

   Danbury’s Racearena—Sunday, October 14th, at the Senior Center from 2 pm to …  Relive the memories of the time before the Danbury Fair Mall when stock car racing was a weekly highlight.  Meet some of the Racearena drivers.  No registration is required.

   Artist Demonstration—Saturday, October 20th at 1 pm.  This program is sponsored by the Candlewood League of Artists.  Anda Styler will demonstrate using an acrylic medium.

   Graveyard Ghosts—Katie Stevenson will assist participants in Gradaes 3-5 in making a ghostly holiday display on Wednesday, October 24th at 4:15-5:30 pm.  Registration begins October 10th.

   Magic, Myths and Monsters—A family show for all ages performed by Full Effect Productions filled with comedy and magic featuring ghosts and ghouls in the spirit of Halloween.  Please sign up all family members attending this program to be held on Friday, October 26th at 6:30-7:15 pm  Registration begins October 12th.

   Halloween Fun—The Teen Council will host a fun-filled holiday program to include pumpkin decorating, cookie decorating and games.  This program is for children in Grades K-2.  Registration begins October 14th.
