Planning Ahead

   With school projects, company coming over for the holidays, winter vacations, etc., please plan ahead when desiring to visit the library.  It is a busy time of year and please bear in mind that we will be closed on the following days:  December 23rd, 24th, 25th, and January 1st.  We will close early -- at 5 pm – on December 31st instead of 8 pm.  Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Upcoming Adult Programs

      Weds., November 30, Gift Wrapping, 6:30-7:30 pm.  Learn how to wrap presents like a professional including using unusual items to add the finishing touch.

Upcoming Children’s Programs

   Tues., November 27, Little Creators, 10:30-11:15 am.  Led by Katie Stevenson, children ages four and five will make a Thanksgiving buddy to share the holiday spirit with.

   Weds., November 28, Sparkling Snowflake Ornaments, 4:15-5:15 pm.  Children in Grades Two and up will make beautiful beaded snowflake ornaments.

   Friday, November 30, Kaya, An American Girl, 4:15-5:15 pm.  Children in Grades Three to Five will participate in activities related to Kaya and make a talking stick.

Upcoming Children’s December Programs

   Thursdays, no registration, Storytime, 10:30 am.  Every Thursday with Ms. JoAnn.  Stories, music, and movement for all ages.

   Weds., Dec. 3rd, Celebrate Hanukkah, 4:15-5 pm.  Students in Grades K-Two will learn about the history and traditions of this holiday and enjoy some fun activities.

   Tuesday, Dec. 4th, Little Creators, 10:30-11:15 am.  Led by Katie Stevenson, children ages four and five will make a snowman and listen to a related story.

   Weds., Dec. 5th, Storytime with Miss Judy, 1:30 pm.  For children ages three to five.  This six-week session will take place on Dec. 5, 12, 19 and Jan. 2, 9, and 16.

   Fri., Dec. 7th, Magic Tree House Adventures, 4-4:45 pm.  Join Elyse Felicione as students in Grades One to Three explore the time of dinosaurs through fun activities.

   Fri., Dec. 7th, The Polar Express, 6:45-7:30 pm.  Families may come and listen to storyteller Joyce Marie Rayno as she makes this holiday classic come alive!

   Sat., Dec. 8th, Little Women, 2-4 pm.  Friends of the Library will sponsor a mother and daughter-themed event including refreshments and door prizes.  For girls ages eight and up with their moms.

   Monday, Dec. 10th, Kit—An American Girl, 4:15-5:15 pm.  Children in Grades Three to Five will participate in activities related to Kit and will make a mosaic tile hot plate.

   Tues., Dec. 11th, Little Creators, 10:30-11:15 am.  Led by Katie Stevenson, children ages four and five will decorate a holiday tree and listen to a related story.

   Weds., Dec. 12th, Make a Gingerbread House, 4:15-5:15 pm.  A reading of Gingerbread Baby will be followed by participants making a gingerbread house.  Parental assistance is encouraged at this program geared for children in Grades Two and up.
