Drop in Storytime, 10:30-11 am. Storytime with Ms. JoAnn every Thursday, unless school is closed. Stories, music and movement for all ages. No registration required.
Coming soon --Look for the registration and
new dates for Storytime with Miss Judy for three to
five year olds.
Volunteer Applications for Summer Reading
The application for summer reading program volunteers
is now available on the library’s website, www.newfairfieldlibrary.org, or
if you happen to be in the area, at the Children’s Circulation Desk. Volunteers must attend one training session
out of the two that will be offered. The
first training session will be held on Monday, June 2 at 4 pm. The other session will be on Wednesday, June
11 at 6:30 pm
Bookflix
Bookflix is a new
online literacy resource from Scholastic that pairs classic video storybooks
from Weston Woods with related nonfiction eBooks from to build a love of
reading and learning. The engaging way
to link fact and faction, Bookflix reinforces early
reading skills and introduces children, pre-k to grade three, to a world of
knowledge and exploration. This site
contains educational games and is a wonderful resource for educators. Bookflix is
available as a link from our home page and by inserting the barcode from your
library card.
Computer Monitors
Computers are available for all to use. Internet usage requires parental permission
if children wishing to use the computers are under eighteen years of age. Whether adults or children are using the
computers, please do not turn off the monitors.
It is disconcerting to some patrons.
