Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Library will be collecting books beginning the second week of August for their upcoming sale in September.  Please remember that magazines, encyclopedias, and Reader’s Digest are not accepted.  The Friends’ colorful re-usable bags are still on sale at the library for $2.50 each.  Stop by and pick one or more up.  They can serve a multitude of uses such as carrying books, groceries, beach items, etc. – anything that can be thrown into a bag!

Books for High School/Middle School Summer Reading

Books on the high school/middle school summer reading lists are still available.  All of the copies we borrowed from other libraries and schools will be sent back at the end of the month.

Guess How Many?

The “Guess How Many?” contest winner was Cooper Raiano.  Cooper successfully guessed that bees must collect nectar from 2,000 flowers in order to make one tablespoon of honey.  Bright Beginnings donated a wonderful beach basket as the prize.  Thank you to all who participated.
